New Delhi: National SC Commission pointed out the partiality being shown in paying compensation to farmers who had given away their lands for the construction of AP's capital, Amaravathi.
Condemning payment of more amount for patta lands and less for assigned and lanka lands, the commission suggested following impartiality in allocating plots and paying justified compensation and ordered for halt on sand mining in lanka lands until then. The commission also instructed the general secretary of AP Government and CRDA to prepare a report regarding this within 15 days and submit to it.
