Minister Son Susheel sent to Chanchal guda jail

Hyderabad: AP Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu's son Susheel has been sent to Chanchalguda jail on remand on charges of assaulting a woman. The police presented Susheel before the magistrate at his house in Turka Yamzal as Sunday being a holiday for courts. The magistrate after examining the case on the evidence presented by the police remanded the accused to Chanchalguda jail for 14 days.
Police requested a three-day custody of the accused. However, the magistrate will consider the request on March 8.
Susheel attempted to pull a woman passerby on road number 12 in Banjara Hills into his car on Friday and subsequently he surrendered before the police. West Zone DCP Venkateshwara Rao said a case under Nirbhaya Act has been registered on the accused on Friday. "We will pursue the case strictly according to the law and will not bow to any pressures whatsoever," he said adding that Telangana government is committed to the safety and security of women.
