Hyderabad: Former cabinet minister and YSRCP MLC Ummareddy Venkateswarulu stated that Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabhams statements on the occasion of calling off his hunger strike were moving. Speaking to the media at the party's central office in Hyderabad, he informed that Mudragada had called off his hunger strike after 13 days at Kirlampudi, with the lemon juice offered by members of Kapu JAC, followers and partcipants of the movement. He mentioned that everybody had pleaded him to give up his deeksha as his health was more important and the movement would live long only if Mudragada survived with sound health.
Ummareddy opined that it was very unjust of the Government to have shut him from knowing what was going on in the outside world. With access to the TV, newspapers and other sources of knowledge being cut, he opined that Mudragada's principal right of knowledge had been exploited. Ummareddy mentioned that Mudragada's family had a political background for 3.5 decades and condemned the assaults that had happened on him.
