Ongole: YSRCP's president of Prakasam district, Balineni Srinivas Reddy, complained that BJP and TDP were standing in the way of the state's special status. He added that the two parties were pretending with regard to the matter. He called for the party cadre to make the state bandh to be held on the 2nd of August, as called for by the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan a grand success. He stated that the state's development would be possible only with special status and it would also facilitate industrial development, allow tax exemptions and improve employment opportunities. He specified about the blow the state would face if special status was not given.
Balineni criticised Chandrababu for not questioning the centre in spite of knowledge about all these things. He suggested that the people should unite for the cause and achieve special status. He reminded how YSRCP had been fighting for the state's special status since the beginning. Balineni called for everybody's participation in the state bandh irrespective of political favouritism. He especially called for the leaders and activists of Prakasam district to make the bandh a success.
