Kummaris hail YS Jagan for his support

Nellore: YSRCP chief and the leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured the pot makers (Kummaris) that he would stand by them and would try to fulfill their aspirations.

A delegation of Kummaris met YS Jagan during his Padayatra in Nellore district on Wednesday. They explained about the problems being faced by their community and sought his help in addressing their issues. They said that the Kummaris were educationally backward and needed political representation. 

Speaking on the occasion, YS Jagan said that his government would bear the cost of the education of the wards of Kummari community. He said his government would provide Rs 20000 towards the hostel fee of the students. He also pointed out that once in Government, he would ensure that the mother of the child, who goes to the school, would be given Rs 15000 every year. He also assured to ensure that pensions would be given to them on attaining the age of 45. The kummaris expressed happiness at YS Jagan’s assurances.
