October 14, 2013: Slamming the State administration for denying permission to the YS
Jagan Mohan Reddy public meeting, YSR Congress has said that it will move the
court on the issue and dubbed Chief Minister as an agent of Sonia Gandhi in the
garb of an integrationist.
“Rejecting out application to hold public meeting
is throttling the freedom of expression of our Party and the reasons cited for
denying permission are unfounded as the Samaikhya Shakaravan meeting is aimed
at reiterating our stand on the united state and it is not meant for whipping
regional passions as being alleged.
While permission was accorded for a similar meeting
there is no point in denying it to us and the State administration has gone out
of its purview of powers by mentioning about our stand and other political
issues which are of no concern to the Police,” party senior leader Dr MV
Mysoora Reddy told reporters here on Sunday.
“By denying the permission police has failed to
discharge its duty and has been acting as agents of political bosses,” the
former Home Minister said adding that the meeting was aimed at telling our
party line as there have been many apprehensions and
propaganda.
YSR during his term has treated all the three
regions equally and our meeting is aimed at putting forth that development is
possible only in an integrated state.
The Police have mentioned political decisions in
the letter of denying permission which goes against it known powers. Political
parties may have difference of opinion and expressing them is their democratic
right, he said adding that instead of discharging duties impartially the police
has been acting at the behest of the political bosses.
Chief Minister who claims to be an integrationist
has been working as an agent of the Congress high command and carrying out the
and spirit. The Chief Minister who has been time and again saying that he is a
votary of Samaikhyandhra has been acting against the interests of Seemandhra
people and is acting like an agent of Sonia Gandhi to divide the state, he
said.
We have always said that the Centre has the right
to divide or merge states and it should be done taking into account all aspects
and execute it without harming the interest of any region. This is what our
leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted to tell and police had denied permission. We
will knock the doors of judiciary to get justice, he said.
