Kannababu all set to join YSRCP

Yalamanchili: Former MLA UV Ramana Murthy Raju, popularly known as Kannababu and his son U Sukumar Varma, Chairman of Visakha DCCB have quit Telugu Desam Party. After taking this decision yesterday, they submitted their resignation letters to Chandrababu Naidu.

Confirming their decision, Sukumar Varma said he and his father along with their followers would be joining YSR Congress Party today in the presence of the party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Kannababu had served as MLA of Visakhapatnam district's Yalamanchili for two terms. He joined TDP in 2014 just before the elections. It has been reported that Kannababu had been keen on joining YSRCP for some time. TDP leaders have been pressurising him not to leave the party. Finally, he told the TDP leadership that his decision to YSRCP was final.
