  • Union and state Governments have neglected Prakasam district: YV

Hyderabad:YSRCP MP YV Subbareddy commented that Chandrababu was bothered about
nothing but capital Amaravathi. He conducted a job fair at Ongole to create job
opportunities to the unemployed youth. Speaking on this occasion, he criticized
Babu for seriously failing to give jobs to the unemployed and to bring industries
to the state. While the Government of the neighbouring state Telangana was
bringing companies like Google to Hyderabad, Babu kept bluffing the people of
AP, he remarked.

YV Subbareddy complained that after the state’s bifurcation, both the union
and the state Governments were neglecting the already backward Prakasam
district. He informed that 1,20,000 people in the district were waiting to be employed.
He stated that the lack of industrial development and being backward were
proofs to this. He announced that the job fair had been held in order to
provide livelihood for the youth so that they were no more a burden to their
parents.

Subbareddy informed that a national skill development centre had been
established along with conduction of the job fair. This was formed under the
supervision of ILFS and Prakasam skill development. These centres would work
for provision of monthly training and stipend to those who had lost
opportunities. He stated that he would try his best to alleviate the problem of
unemployment in the district.

Subbareddy stated that he had recently spoken to the defence minister
regarding army recruitment in the district. He said that he would work for the
aid of the unemployed with the help of the district’s PRDA. He informed that he
had requested the prime minister and the finance minister for adding the name
of Prakasam district in the list of backward areas and that they had responded
positively. He stated that the centre had agreed to develop Ramayyapatnam with
public-private partnership

Subbareddy
revealed that when job fair had been conducted the previous year, 7800
unemployed people attended, while only 1000 of them could get jobs. He cited
lack of communication skills and companies not coming to the state as the
reasons for this. He mentioned that these obstacles were kept in mind this
year. He informed that 47 companies from various sectors had come to
participate in this fair.
