Jalagam Venkata Rao joins YSRCP

Khammam, Nov 20, 2012:
Jalagam Venkata Rao, former Sattupally Congress MLA and son of late Chief
Minister Jalagam Vengala Rao, joined the YSR Congress Party in the presence of
party honourary president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma at Khammam on Monday.

Speaking on the
occasion, Venkata Rao said YSR struggled to keep people happy by implementing several
welfare programmes during his regime. “But after his death, the present
Congress Government has totally neglected the welfare programmes,” he said,
adding he joined the YSRCP with the inspiration given by YSR. 

“After Jalagam Vengala
Rao, YSR was the only chief minister who contributed for the growth of Khammam
district,” he said.

Venkata Rao also
announced that 20,000 families in the district had joined YSRCP along with him.
