Jairam in frustration as Cong is on pyre: YSRCP

Hyderabad, May 1, 2014:
Reiterating that it will play the role of a king maker in Telangana and that of
a King in Seemandha, YSR Congress party said today that the unwarranted
multi-pronged attack on it by the Congress leader Jairam Ramesh  and
others ahead of the polling in Seemandhra has only stemmed from their
frustration and fear of defeat.

Party spokesman Gattu Ramachandra
Rao told reporters here that the voting patterns and tendencies in the just
concluded polls across Telangana have confirmed that YSRCP will enter both
Telangana assembly and also have representation in Lok Sabha from Telangana
with a stellar performance.

“We are going to play key role in
the Telangana assembly as a hung assembly is on the anvil. We will undoubtedly
play the role of king maker in Telangana,” Gattu said exuding confidence.

Congress party is on pyre

Referring to the criticism of YSRCP
president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by the Union Minister Jairam Ramesh, Gattu
said his baseless and unwarranted remarks have only revealed the Congress
party’s frustration.

“Your party is already dead and on a
pyre. People know very well that you have grown hair but not wisdom,” he told
Jairam Ramesh, objecting to his remarks that Jagan Mohan Reddy is an accused
who has been out on a bail and can’t become CM.

Rebutting the Union Minister’s
criticism, Gattu said it was the Congress which colluded with TDP chief
Chandrababu and sent Jagan Mohan Reddy to jail.” Our party president has been
with the people for the last four years journeying for 30,000 km and meeting
them to know their problems very well.

“If Jagan Mohan Reddy becomes CM, he
will usher in the YSR golden era back but people know that the state will be
divided further into several pieces if you are elected to power. That is why
your party is dead,” Gattu countered Jairam Ramesh. “This is the reason for
leaders leaving your party.”

Asserting that YSRCP will sweep the
polls across Seemandhra making the elections one-sided, Gattu said Jairam
Ramesh’s utterances have only showed the frustration of Congress party.

Reminding Jairam Ramesh that he got
a berth in the Union Cabinet thanks to the alms given by the Telugu people and
YSR, Gattu retorted him: “But you were also part of the Congress that colluded
with TDP and sent Jagan Mohan Reddy to jail illegally. If you say that Jagan
Mohan Reddy went to jail and is out on bail, almost fifty percent of the
politicians in the country also went to jail or are facing allegations.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is a man who
stands by his commitment but Congress party, which announced Rs. 1 lakh
compensation to the families of those who died of heart burn following the
sudden death of YSR, has failed to fulfill the commitment, Gattu reminded him.

Naidu never respected constitution

Finding fault with Chandrababu Naidu
for announcing that he cast his vote for BJP outside the polling booth, Gattu
said this behavior of Naidu only showed his pitiable condition in the

“Naidu has no vote in the constituency
where he is contesting and has no seat where he cast his vote,” he said, adding
that Naidu has violated constitution by making that announcement. “It also
reveals his frustration.”
