Jagan’s bail need of the hour for State

Hyderabad, Sept 24, 2013: Terming the bail to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as a
crucial development, YSR Congress has said that the State which is reeling
under utter uncertainty needs such leader with a vision and following who can
turn the tide.

“The Chief Minister and the Leader of Opposition had other priorities
and when the Sate is on a boil, the governance had paralysed and the Naidu had
taken up a sole agenda to defame YSR and his family members.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s arrival heralds a new chapter in the state
politics as he is the only leader who has the capacity to lead the people at
this moment of crisis,” party leaders DA Somayajulu and Konathala Ramakrshna
told reporters after the designated court pronounced its judgement giving bail.

For the past four years, the governance has dropped from bad to worse
while Chandrababu Naidu had the agenda of helping the Congress on one hand and
trying to defame YSR family on the other. With the Chief Minister maintaining
stoic silence and the leader of opposition getting busy in lobbying against YS
Jagan Mohan Reddy, the State lacked a popular leader who could tide over the
crisis.

“Our leader coming out at this juncture will help the course of State
politics to have a smooth flow and will put in all his efforts to keep the
state united. He understands the feelings of the people and the main issues of
revenue and water sharing are very contentious which prompted the Party to take
the stand of a united state.

Since Hyderabad is the political and economic capital of the state, a
feature which only Karnataka has, it becomes very relevant to have a united
state. His arrival into active public life will open up a new chapter in the
state’s political history.

With regard to the case, which had political overtures from the
beginning as it was filed by the ruling Congress and main opposition TDP
leaders with inflated corruption charges, CBI court’s comments are a slap on
their face as the investigation agency could not prove quid pro quo on eight
counts.

The charge sheet filed had many fallacies and the points mentioned were
not the result of any investigation but the data given by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
himself in the affidavits filed while contesting elections and the annual
account statements.

When the Congress and TDP had conspired against their common political
adversary and he was deprived of freedom for 485 days, it is an insult for
democracy.

While N Chandrababu Naidu was facing corruption charges in the Emaar and
IMG Bharata case, he was not even questioned once while when it came to YS
Jagan Mohan Reddy, CBI sleuths acted in a supersonic speed and just three days
after filing the FIR nearly 80 teams raided the houses, firms and his associates
and their firms.

Finally justice prevailed and with the Supreme Court setting a deadline
for filing the charge sheet and the court ruled that there is no case on
majority of the counts.

Fighting against all odds YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had seen to it that the
Party stayed connected with people and had taken up many issues on behalf of
the people. Such deeds have helped to swell the following of our leader and his
return to public life will change the course of the state polity,” they said.
