Jagan steps up attack on TDP

Nandyal, Aug 12: Stepping up the ante
against TDP, YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that
Chandrababu Naidu government has been maintaining double standards and the
ruling party leaders should caught by the scurf of their neck and be questioned
as to why had gone back on election promises.

Speaking at a string of public meetings
here on Saturday, he said, ‘Chadrababu Naidu did not fulfill a single
election promise in toto, he did not fulfill even the promises made for the
betterment of this constituency and his cabinet colleagues have audacity to
seek votes now in the by-polls.

He has promised to develop the district
by bringing in an airport, Urdu University, and creating a Smart City besides a
Mining School, Food Park, Cement factories and industrial parks. It is three
years since and noting has come up so far.

‘It is time for the voters to catch the
leaders by the scurf of their neck and ask where the promises have gone and why
they were not yet fulfilled. You have to teach such people a fitting lesson by
rejecting them in the election and show the power of ballot,’ he said.

The battle for Nandyal should become a
forerunner for a change in the political system allowing the people to question
the leaders who go back on their promises. He has cheated all sections of
people as he failed to waive loans in full to farmers and women groups, did not
provide jobs as announced nor did he give unemployment stipend and went back on
his promise of building houses to the poor.

Not a single leader had ever visited
this place as TDP did not fare well in the 2014 elections. Now as the
by-election became necessary, the leaders are coming knots and droves and are
camping in town making it a hub of activity leaving the administration to
winds, he said.

 The Government, after the by-poll
became inevitable, started issuing a spate of GOs aimed at funds flow to
Nandyal and more people and leaders will be coming to the constituency with
bags full of money as the election date draws to a close.

Use your discretion and vote for the
YSRCP symbol fan as you have done during 2014 elections and teach a lesson to
the leaders who maintain double standards, he said
