Jagan congratulates Telangana people

Hyderabad,
June 2, 2014: Congratulating the people of Telangana on the formation of the new
State, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said though the state is divided geographically, Telugu
people will stay united and will cooperate mutually.

“I
congratulate each and every individual of Telangana on the occasion of the
formation of the new state and wish Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao all the
best in steering the state towards development and assure that our Party will
extend all support for the government’s constructive agenda,” he said after the
national flag was unfurled at the Party office here on Monday.

We tried
to keep the state united but eventually it was split but the division of Telugu
people is not possible as they speak the same language and I hope they will
take forward the rich heritage of the language and will help each other
mutually.

YSR is
still alive in the hearts of the people in Telangana region as well as his
welfare schemes have touched all sections of the society and his vision has
helped the dry land farmers of Telangana with the his first signature after
assuming office to provide free power to farmers. About 15 lakh pump sets in
Telangana region could get free power by his decision.

The irrigation
projects he has drafted for Telangana will be remembered by the farmers for a
long time now as no Chief Minister could even dream of such mega venture. This
apart the fees reimbursement and other schemes have also benefitted people of
the region, he said and with the new state coming into being. He called upon
all the party men to strive hard towards achieving the status of national party
in future.

We will
strive to bring forward the ideals of YSR in Telangana region as people in both
states benefitted from his welfare and development measures and work towards
bringing in YSR golden era in Telangana as well, he said.
