Inquiry On Cash For Vote Case Commences

Hyderabad: The inquiry on Cash for Vote case has been initiated by the High Court as per the orders from the Supreme Court. The High Court has earlier given still on the orders given by ACB Court and the petitioners have approached the Supreme Court regarding the same. Now the Supreme Court has ordered the High Court to take up the case and conclude it within 4 weeks. The case has been adjourned to Monday.

During the MLC elections in Telangana state, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was caught red-handed offering crores of rupees to the MLAs of Telangana. Audio and video tapes supported the accusation, with his voice being clearly heard and confirmed by the forensic labs. The evidences were collected by YSRCP MLA, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, who approached the ACB Court appealing for enquiry on the matter.
ACB Court then ordered for the trial of the case and Chandrababu earned a stay from the High Court to evade being interrogated and punished. Ramakrishna Reddy challenged the stay in the Supreme Court, leading to the Supreme Court's instructions to the High Court to take the case up. Sudhakar Reddy is arguing on behalf of RK in Cash for Vote case.
