Huge Set Back To Chandrababu

In a major shock to the TDP government, the controversial Sadavarthi Lands were sold for Rs 60.30 crore, a sum much higher than the paltry Rs 27 crore that Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu tried to sell to his henchmen.

During an auction here on Monday, 83.11 acres of Sadavathi lands were bought by YSR Kadapa resident Satyanarayana Reddy. The latter is the son of Proddatur's former MLA Varadaraju Reddy, a prominent TDP leader. 

The auction began at Rs 27.45 crore at the Information Center of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in T Nagar of Chennai at 11 am.
