Higher education is the key for success

Khammam, April 27,
2013: Smt. Y. S. Sharmila has asserted that the spread of higher education only
can provide different growth opportunities for the people in their lives and
result in driving away of poverty from the society.

Addressing students of
the Mamata College in Khammam during the course of her Maro Praja Prasthanam
Padayatra on the 133rd day on Saturday, she said higher education is
the key for the success in society. “Students should concentrate on their
studies and reach Himalayan heights in higher education for good career and
growth opportunities,” she told them.

She said Dr. YSR, who
thought of spreading higher education among all sections of people and
especially among the poorer sections, introduced the fee reimbursement scheme
with noble intentions.

“YSR wanted the rural
students to gain accesses to higher education for enabling them reach top
positions in their professions,” she said, adding that the present Government
has unfortunately diluted the scheme.

Due to Government’s
neglect and dilution of the scheme, students are now suffering unable to pursue
their professional courses, she remarked.

“YSR, being a medical
doctor, introduced the 104, 108 and Arogya Sri Services to protect the public
health. Similarly, you should pursue higher education successfully and be
useful to the state and the country,” she exhorted the students.
