Govt. responsible for growing crimes against women: YS Jagan

Machilipatnam: Expressing deep anguish and shock over the gruesome incident of the rape of a nine-year old in Guntur district, YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has took to the social media holding Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu responsible for the barbaric act.
Quoting the incident that took place at Dachepalli where a 55 years old man had sexually assaulted a nine-year old girl, the Leader of Opposition said that many such ghastly incidents were reported in the state in the recent past.
No proper action was taken as majority of the perpetrators happen to be TDP leaders or cadre and this has led to the crime going unchecked and escalation. ‘NCB aren’t you responsible for this?’ he posed a pointed question.
There have been numerous cases of atrocities on women after TDP came to power and majority of those involved are people belonging to ruling TDP and they have been going scot free which is increasing their boldness.
During the past one month many cases of atrocities on women were reported in Guntur district alone and no action was taken against the perpetrators.
The Party has expressed deep anguish and anger over the incident and squarely blames the TDP leadership for the growing crimes against women as it has failed to deal the cases with the required measure of sternness matching the serious of the offence.
The Dachepalli incident comes close on the heels of another heinous crime held in the district last week where a woman was ghastly tortured and the government remained unshaken. Such inaction emboldens the culprits and the state should take blame for all such offences.
