Government should provide security to YS Jagan

Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party on Friday reiterated that the party president and Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has every right to take up Padayatra in the state and no permission whatsoever is required for the proposed PrajaSankalpaYatra from November 6.
Speaking to media here, party general secretary Talasila Raghuram said YSRCP conducted hundreds of public meetings and rallies before and after the bifurcation of the state but no law and order problem arose at any point of time. Every programme was peacefully conducted with voluntary participation of lakhs of people, he said adding that if at all any problem comes up, that could be only because of the TDP. It's an open secret that who torched the train in Tuni during Kapu reservation movement, Raghuram said hinting that the ruling party men were behind the incident. They can go to any extent to malign our party, he said and asked the party cadres to be alert about the conspiracies of TDP.
As a leader of Opposition and the masses, Jagan Mohan Reddy not only has every right to mingle with people but also has a responsibility to give them confidence in their times of crisis, the YSRCP leader said. Farmers and youths are committing suicides as they lost hopes with the government. YS Jagan's padayatra is intended to give them assurance and avoid suicides as the government had failed on all fronts, he said.
"Instead of hatching up plans to disturb Praja Sankalpa Yatra, the government should take up measures to provide security to our leader who is covered under Z-Plus category. If anything goes wrong, the government is totally responsible," Raghuram said.
