Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) was deteriorating day by day, mentioned YSR Congress Party MLA Ravindranath Reddy. He commented that RTC was dipping into the quicksand of losses. He added that the employees of the corporation also were not receiving proper salaries. Speaking during the questioning hour of assembly sessions, he also recollected how Ex.CM late Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy had put effort into RTC’s development.
Ravindranath Reddy demanded that the Government came to APSRTC’s rescue. He criticized the way the employees were being harassed and made to work extra hours. He mentioned that the MD of the corporation had been announcing the cancellation of conductor system. Ravindaranath suggested the MD of APSRTC to withdraw this decision. He mentioned that Telangana Government had sanctioned Rs.1000 crore to TSRTC and requested AP Government to save APSRTC by similarly sanctioning funds to it.
