Farmers Standing Helpless

Rajahmundry: YSRCP president of East Godavari district, Kurasala Kannababu, exclaimed that farmers were in a helpless situation where they could not draw the money they had hard-earned and saved in the banks. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, he revealed that Rs.627 crore were saved by farmers throughout the district by selling food grains.
Questioning what would be the situation of the 5 lakh tonnes of grains that were still to be sold, Kannababu demanded that pensions should be given in the form of cash and insisted that Modi and Chandrababu should bear the responsibility of the ill-effects of demonetisation.
