Kurnool: The leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan proclaimed that every district in AP would be a Hyderabad if special category status was granted. Speaking at Yuvabheri programme held at Kurnool, he recollected how BJP and TDP had promised at the time of elections to sanction the status to AP.
After greeting everyone at the venue with affection, he said that YSRCP had been raising cognizance about the need for special category status among people from time to time through meetings like Yuvabheri. He reminded how the promise was made before the state was bifurcated and how all the leaders spoke in support of the sanction of the status to AP. Mentioning how Hyderabad was the hub for all companies and industries and how people of AP were sad to lose it to Telangana, as the youth from the state had always migrated to the city for jobs, YS Jagan proclaimed that the special category status would improve the employment opportunities in the area.
He opined that every district in AP would be a Hyderabad if the status was given. He questioned why Narendra Modi had accepted to the proposals of sanctioning the state for ten years and fifteen years at that time. YS Jagan condemned the way the leaders had now started to say that there was no relation between jobs and industrial discounts. He presented to the audience the video clippings of how Chandrababu had kept changing gears regarding the issue throughout the time.
YS Jagan encouraged the youth to question such deception and to unite in order to achieve the special category status that was promised with the Parliament of India as witness.
