Eid Greetings From YS Jagan

Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy extended greetings to the Muslim community in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. YS Jagan recalled that since the Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed during this month, it is considered as a holy month by Muslims.


The YSRCP Chief said Ramadan was not merely fasting, but was meant to bring about a positive change through prayers and spiritual cleansing. Eid marks the completion of the holy month wherein people end their fast. The month of Ramadan also focuses on charity in a big way, he observed.

The holy month of Ramadan represents harmony and goodwill. It preaches the message of compassion and charity, YS Jagan said.
