Tirupati: YSRCP's general secretary, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, commented that Chandrababu was passing time with publicity stunts and doing nothing. Ridiculing Chandrababu for boasting about plans to make Amaravathi an international-level capital while neglecting his own village, he mentioned that 42 slums had developed world-famous Tirupati city because of Chandrababu.

He stated that more than 47 lakes around Tirupati had been occupied and there was scarcity of water for people due to lowered groundwater level and criticised the indifference shown by the municipal officers to the appeals of the people. Demanding the Government to solve the problem of thirst of people, he spoke during Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress programme held at Jiaguda area of Tirupati.

He questioned the dormancy of the officials in solving the problem of mosquitoes. Bhumana also criticised that the Government had set up belt shops in huge number in the state and developed the problem of alcoholism. He demanded the Government to keep all its campaign promises.
