District Formation Day Grandly Celebrated

Ongole: The 48th Formation Day of Prakasam district was celebrated grandly at Ongole city. The district was originally constituted on 2 February 1970, carved out of Guntur, Nellore and Kurnool districts of Andhra Pradesh. On the 5th of December in 1972, the district was named after Tanguturi Prakasam.

At YSRCP's office in Ongole, the portrait of freedom fighter and the first CM of AP, Tanguturi Prakasam was decorated with flower garlands by the city's party president, Kuppam Prasad and leaders Ganta Ramu, Obul Reddy, Kavuri Suseela and others. They all paid tribute to him.


Speaking on this occasion, Kuppam Prasad slammed the TDP Government for ignoring the district's development and informed that district party president Balineni Srinivas Reddy, MP YV Subbareddy and he were working for the welfare of the people of the district supported by the leadership of YSRCP president, YS Jagan.
