Disqualify turncoat MLAs: YV Subba Reddy

Hyderabad : The YSRCP on Wednesday said that Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker should protest and preserve the spirit of Indian Constitution, given to us by late Babasaheb Ambedkar, and disqualify the MLAs who defected from the YSRCP into the ruling Telugu Desam Party and yet continue to be in the AP assembly.
Speaking on the occasion of Baba Saheb Ambedkar's death anniversary at a meeting got up the Lotus Pond office of the YSRCP on Wednesday, party's Ongole MP YV Subba Reddy said the AP Assembly speaker should emulate vice-president M Venkaiah Naidu, who disqualified two MPs recently. Subba Reddy also said that even after completing three years in power, the TDP Government has not installed a statue of Babasaheb in AP capital Amaravati.
Earlier, the party leaders paid rich tributes to Babasaheb on his death anniversary. The leaders laid flowers at Ambedkar's portrait. Senior party leaders were present on the occasion.
