YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy exclaimed that the Government was troubling the people of the state by not announcing the educational qualifications of the in-charge secretary, deputy secretary and other higher officials of the AP assembly. He complained that the Government was stopping the officials from disclosing the information in the assembly as well as outside. This showed the efficiency of functioning of the assembly officers, he added.
RK mentioned that he had asked for information about the educational background at school level, college level and about graduation in law, as per RTI act. He stated that he had inquired once in November 2015 and once again in February 2016. He reminded that the Right To Information act allows obtaining information within a month but no response had been obtained from the officials even after months of inquiry.
RK stated that he had approached the chief secretary of the state and the commissioner as a result of no receipt of information since 7-8 months. Notices had been sent to the PIO of AP assembly pertaining to this complaint, RK stated. He expressed hope in receiving information at least now.
