Dharna Against Price Hike

  • How can you achieve Bangaru Telangana through imposing pressure on people?
  • KCR's mannequin put on fire
  • Price hike should be withdrawn: Gattu Srikanth Reddy
Hyderabad: TYSRCP president Gattu Srikanth Reddy questiond TRS Government how it could impose pressure on people in order to achieve Bangaru Telangana. A dharna was conducted on Saturday at RTC crossroads of Hyderabad as a protest against the hike in electricity and RTC charges. Leaders and activists of the party sat down on the road and raised slogans against KCR and TRS Government. They put KCR's mannequin on fire and demanded immediate withdrawal of raised prices.
Srikanth Reddy slammed TRS Government for spending two years of time without performance in the area of development. He criticised that the Government put huge financial burden on the middle class and the lower middle class by hiking RTC and power charges. He reminded how former CM Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy had never imposed a rupee of burden on people.
The leaders of TYSRCP commented that KCR lacked the right to utter Bangaru Telangana, after causing pain to people. They cautioned that the party would vigorously fight if the charges were not withdrawn with immediate effect. Later the police arrested the leaders staging agitation. Party leaders Konda Raghava Reddy, K.Siva Kumar and others participated in the dharna.
