Destruction Of Parks Condemnable

Madanapalle: YSRCP women's wing general secretary, Gundluri Shameem Aslam, cautioned the municipal officials and leaders against destruction of Ramnagar Park located at the centre of Madanapalle. Along with Shameem, councilor Neerugattu Venkataramana Reddy and Myforce founding president Mahesh expressed complete solidarity to the agitation held by certain sportspeople in front of the municipal office on Monday.

Spaking on this occasion, Shameem Aslam condemned the decision taken by the municipal leaders to extend the park, removing the playground that had been constructed in the park from 2005-2010 for shuttle badminton, cricket and tennis with an expenditure of Rs,20 lakh and suggested that the Government should rather support sportspeople.

She called it ridiculous to destroy the park that was in good shape, instead of developing the underdeveloped colonies like Ramarao Colony, NVR Layout and PNT Colony. She warned that a huge agitation would be done if parks were harmed.
