Demand for Formation of Tribal Advisory Council
17 Mar 2016 2:27 PM
Hyderabad: President of YSRCP and leader of opposition YS Jagan criticised that the TDP Government had not formed Tribal Advisory Council since it had come to power 2 years ago. He added that CM Chandrababu had been bragging about his effort for the development of the tribal people, but failed to execute it practically. YS Jagan proclaimed in the assembly that Tribal Advisory Council was a constitutional right according to schedule 5. He slammed not forming the committee due to YSRCP’s winning in 6 ST-reserved constituencies of a total 7.
He reminded that the 6 constituencies also had people who had voted for TDP. He demanded that the existence of Tribal Advisory Council was essential for making any decisions regarding the Girijans. YS Jagan commented that the Government was unreasonably indifferent to this issue. During the question hour, he pointed out that the TDP Government was not performing its duty of impartial treatment of all the districts and all the classes.
