Dalit issue being politicized by Cong, TDP

“A meeting of our SC, ST cell has taken a decision to this effect and the action plan will be chalked out in an extensive executive committee meeting to be held on December 10,” Party leaders Golla Babu Rao, Srinivasulu, Sucharitha, N Surya Prakash and others told reporters here on Wednesday after the meeting.
Both Congress and TDP have tried to use the SC, ST Sub-Plan Bill for political gains with an eye on elections and we will go to the people to expose their game plan, they said.
We will also put across the contrast of TDP regime, YSR term and the present Congress rule with facts and figures to drive home our point. It was YSR who had drafted nearly 75 welfare schemes for dalits and tribals and the Kiran Kumar Reddy government has either shelved or diluted many of the schemes.
TDP was never sincere in welfare of the downtrodden and has diverted nearly 17,000 crores from SC and Rs 3,000 crores from ST welfare funds. Our focus will be to enlighten people about hardships the backward communities have faced during the nine-year TDP governance and how tables were turned when YSR took over the reins of State and how the clock has been moved backward by the Congress after YSR death.
“One man had made all the difference to SCs and STs and only YS Jagan Mohan Reddy can take forward the ideals of YSR and bring in social justice, “they said.
On categorisaton they said the Party’s stand is very clear and it was during YSR term that the resolution was passed twice. The Supreme Court ruling has come in the way, but we were never against any community, they said adding that Congress and TDP are trying to rake up the division issue to eke out political mileage.
