Corruption levels hit an all-time high under TDP rule

Guntur: Senior YSRCP leader Dharmana Prasada Rao ridiculed Chandrababu Naidu‘s claim of having fought against the Britishers. Speaking at a political training and orientation session of YSRCP here today, he said that Chandrababu Naidu seemed to think that people would believe anything he says. Such is his level of megalomania, he said, that only he could have made such an absurd claim—that the Telugu Desam party fought against the Britishers!

Addressing the YSRCP party workers, he asked them to be careful about tampering in the voters’ list. Dharmana asked the cadre to be vigilant at the booth level and to apprise senior leaders of ground level developments. He said that the party workers should ensure that voters come out to vote so that the percentage of voting is as high in the Assembly polls, as it was in the panchayat elections.

He recalled the golden rule of the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy in which all segments of society were taken care of under a wide spectrum of welfare schemes. Dr. YSR’s governance model was emulated by several other states, he pointed out. He added that this was the reason for the abiding love which people had for the great leader. This was seen everywhere during the course of YS Jagan’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra, he pointed out. While the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy did not ever differentiate between political parties and their followers, Chandrababu Naidu, in contrast, narrowed down the scope of all welfare schemes only to the followers of his ruling party. Corruption levels had hit an all-time high under the current TDP regime, he said.
