Control Of Price Hike Is Important

New Delhi: YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy stated that the centre had to keep a check on the hiking prices of daily commodities by implementing an integral procedure. He spoke during the brief discussion that happened in the parliament regarding price hike. He mentioned that the prices in the country were constantly going up in spite of the RBI stating to have taken action to prevent inflation. He reminded that the prices had gone up by 5.47% in April and 5.76% again in May, making the lives of common people harder.
Mekapati suggested that the RBI should not believe to control prices by increasing rates of interest. He imposed the price rise to reasons like lack of subsidies and absence of cultivation and transport of commodities to the black market. He suggested that the central and the state Governments took collective initiative to control prices.
