Complaints’ galore at Rachchabanda

Hyderabad, Feb 6, 2013:
Smt. Y. S. Sharmila, who has resumed Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra on
Wednesday on behalf of YSR Congress Party chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, has
attended a Rachchabanda programme at Turkayamjal Gate.
Accompanied by Party
honourary president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma and Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife Smt.
Y. S. Bharati, she listened to the woes of the women who dominated the gathering.
Most of the women, who
took part in the programme, complained about the irregular payment of pensions,
hefty hike in power tariff, and increase in rates of essential commodities like
edible oils, sugar and pulses.
“There is no one to
listen to our plight. We are leading a distressed life for all practical
purposes,” they told Smt. Sharmila.
They also complained
that they used to get loans on 25 paisa interest during YSR regime but now the
Government has been collecting higher interest from them on the loans.
Assuring them that the
old age pension would be increased to Rs. 700 each a month when YSR Congress
comes to power under the aegis of Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy, Smt. Sharmila said
that it was Dr.YSR who increased the monthly pension from Rs.70 to Rs.200 and
the number of pensioners from 16 lakh to 75 lakh.
Asking the people to
bless Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy, she appealed to the gathering to teach the
anti-people Congress Government a fitting lesson at the appropriate time.
