CM will be washed away in people’s tears: Vijayamma

Hyderabad, April 6,
2013: Strongly objecting to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy’s comment that
tears of the opposition leaders are flowing like flood, YSR Congress Party
honourary president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma on Saturday said the observations are
meaningless.

“CMs like Kiran Kumar
will be washed away in the flood of the people’s tears,” she said in a strong
reaction at her indefinite fasting camp here. Meanwhile, the YSRCP leaders’
indefinite fast against the power tariff hike has entered the fifth day today.

Smt. Vijayamma said Kiran
Kumar has been making fun of their agitation while they are seriously fasting
on behalf of the people. “Let us go to people to find out on whose side they
are,” she said and asked the Congress leadership whether it is ready to face
referendum on the power tariff hike.

She also demanded the
Chief Minister to go for immediate by-elections after disqualifying the rebel
MLAs of the Congress and TDP who defied the whip of their respective parties
during the no-trust motion.

Faulting the CM for boasting
all is well with a nominal reduction of the hiked power charges, she suggested he
should visit the villages and hamlets to know the ground realities. Smt.
Vijayamma thanked the people for their good response on the Praja Ballot on the
hiked power charges and called up on them to make April 9 bandh also
successful.
