Chennai: The fact finding committee employed by YSR Congress Party to examine the facts behind the scam involving lands of Sadavrthi Choultry visited the relevant lands near Chennai. The committee led by former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, has people's representatives and district presidents from Guntur and Krishna districts
Dharmana Prasada Rao stated that TDP leaders had unlawfully snatched the lands of the choultry for meagre costs. He informed that the committee would hand over their report to the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan and discuss the future action plan.
Dharmana questioned the silence of CM Chandrababu Naidu in the issue. He demanded to know if Lokesh was in any way related to the scam. He mentioned that it was very clear that a robbery of worth almost Rs.1000 crore had happened. He stated that each acre of the lands of Sadavarthi choultry were worth Rs.6.5 crore according to the Government's estimation but TDP leaders had bought them for Rs.27 lakh per acre. He demanded explanation for the endowments minister's silence towards the issue.
Dharmana questioned why the auction of the lands could not be cancelled. He declared that fight would be continued at national level pertaining to the choultry's lands.
