Kurnool: YSR Congress party (YSRCP) leader Mohammed Iqbal today said that Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly YS Jagan would gain the support of 53 per cent of the people of the State by the end of his mass outreach program, Praja Sankalpa Yatra. Speaking to media here today, he observed that recent surveys found that 43% of the public is in support of the people's leader. He said that the Praja Sankalpa Yatra would remain in the history of the country's politics for a long time.

Iqbal said that Chief Minister Chandrababu would be remembered as the man behind turning Andhra Pradesh, which was called Annapurna, into a State running on debts. Adding that Chandrababu was doing injustice to the farmer community by the Sivaramakrishnan Commission report with his own, he said that the farmers were in deep distress. Chandrababu is tarnishing the reputation of the State by making false statements, he remarked.

The YSRCP leader said that it was unfortunate that the Maoists had killed the MLA and the former MLA. He termed the killings as an act of cowardice by the Maoists. "Chandrababu does not like the people of Kurnool because they did not vote for TDP in the last elections. The police attack on the Muslim youth who had demanded for implementation of election promises is unpardonable. The end is near for the TDP leaders. The upcoming elections are the last elections for TDP," he added.
