Chandrababu Staking False Claims

Srisailam (Kurnool dist), Jan 5: Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has slammed Chandrababu Naidu for his indifference in providing water to Rayalaseema and staking false claims.
Speaking to media after visiting the Srisailam dam here on Thursday he said, ‘though water level has been over the specified 844 feet from August the state has failed to draw water and provide it to farmers.
There is no storage facility downstream and the government has been very indifferent towards farmers and their irrigation needs. For the past three years, Chandrababu Naidu has not sent any fresh proposals and did not complete the projects which needed very little funds. Water could not be drawn from Pulichinthala and the faulty policies of TDP and has been anti-farmer all the time, he said.
Due to lack of storage capacity, nearly 85 % of the water has gone down the drain from Pakasam Barrage to Bay of Bengal which shows the priority the government has been giving to irrigation sector, he said. Chandrababu Naidu has been staking false claims and trying to shamelessly own up the projects conceived by YSR. The Muchumarri lift irrigation project was conceived and executed by YSR. Nearly 90 % of the works were done during his term. The balance work was done by this government and Chandrababu Naidu while inaugurating the project has staked full claim for getting the lift irrigation project, he said.
