Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) wants to continue the alliance with the NDA government though its ministers have resigned from the Central government which is a fine example of Chandrababu Naidu's dual policy, YSRCP spokesman K Parthasarathi said.
Addressing a press meet at the party office, here on Saturday, he called on the people to understand the dual policy adopted by the AP chief minister with regard to Special Category Status (SCS). "The CM stated that SCS is a closed chapter and that YS Jagan is playing politics on the issue. However, Chandrababu himself did a u-turn on the issue as evident from his statements," the YSRCP spokesman said. The TDP continues alliance with the NDA government and the chief minister stated that there are no gains to be had from the no confidence motion, Parthasarathi said and added that the resignation by TDP's union ministers is an eye wash and does not show the commitment of the CM towards SCS. On the no confidence issue too, Chandrababu promised support to the YSRCP but took a u-turn on the issue, Parasarathi said.
"The CM claims to have made 29 trips to Delhi in the last four years to discuss the SCS issue. The YSRCP and the people want to know what has he achieved for the state from those trips. Didn't he understand the mindset of the Central ministers in the four years?" questioned the YSRCP spokesman.
