Chandrababu neglecting adivasis

Hyderabad: YSR Congress has said that Chandrababu Naidu has been neglecting adivasis and the Tribes Advisory Council set by the State is dotted with his henchmen while the elected representatives were ignored.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday party ST Cell President and Former MLA T Bala Raju said, ‘the Advisory Council comprises hand-picked people of Chandrababu Naidu and not a single MLA was included in it as the ruling party has no MLAs.
The Council seems to be like the Janmabhoomi Committees to carry out the activities and dictates of the party leadership and not the welfare of the tribes, he said.
Abiding by the Constitution, YSR had earlier set up the Tribes Advisory Council to look after the adivasis’ welfare and other issues and has given due representation to all political parties unlike Chandrababu Naidu who has filled the Council with his followers and the decision was taken unanimously.
While the state has been spending lavishly on repairs to Chief Minister’s quarters and other buildings it has no money for the welfare of tribes, he said.
Even now there are many villages in the tribal areas which lack basic amenities like drinking water, power supply and the like and the adivasis will teach a fitting lesson to Chandrababu Naidu in the coming elections, he said.
