Chandrababu has not spared any section of society

Tanuku: Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy remarked that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has not spared any segment of society when it came to exploitation.Addressing a massive public meeting here, YS Jagan recalled the fact that Tanuku was a centre of the freedom struggle. It was in the forefront of the fredom struggle and many distinguished freedom fighters from here went to prison.

The YSRCP chief said that he sometimes wondered if Tanuku had earned freedom and cited the example of Relangi village. A fight broke out between two groups and the local MLA belonging to the ruling TDP instructed the SI not to implicate his partymen. The SI who tried to do his duty booked both the groups and had to pay a price. He was summoned to the MLA's house and forced to sit on the floor for 3 hours. The MLA should have been jailed by any government worth its salt. In this case, the SI was punished by the governement.

YS Jagan also pointed out how land meant for the poor was being snatched by TDP leaders and their followers. Moreover, these leaders and their supporters dug up river bed area by the Godavari for 20 feet. The Collector of the district remained silent and looked theother way as sand mafia operated with impunity ferrying thousands of trucks of illegally mined sand on a daily basis. MLAs get a cut, as do officials, he observed.

YS Jagan said that it was unfortunate that farmers of the Godavari delta region are uncertain about water for irrigation of their crops. What is worse is that TDP leaders ask farmers for bribes, he said. The YSRCP chief recalled that several women came to him complain how TDP leaders had created fake accounts in name of women from self-help groups.

While the late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy had got houses built for the poor, the TDP leaders took away land allotted to the poor, he observed. In Tanuku alone 1000 houses were built during the late Dr. YSR’s period, he pointed out.

He added that 48 acres in Tanuku allotted for houses for poor were being snatched away from them by the current TDP regime. Dr. YSR had envisioned a pipeline to supply drinking water to the area, while people were forced to buy water today under Chandrababu, the YSRCP chief said.

YS Jagan assured the massive gathering that a summer storage tank over 65 acres will be built under Rajanna Rajyam after the YSRCP is elected to power.

YS Jagan observed that there were 19 lakh Agrigold victims, who were duped by the company. Instead of selling the assets of the company, Chandrababu is trying to grab them, he pointed out. The assets of the company were first valued at Rs. 35,000 cr and later undervalued to Rs. 10,000 cr by CID while Chandrababu's select companies pegged the figure further down to Rs. 4000 crores, YS Jagan said. he pointed out that TDP leaders including Chandrababu Naidu and his son were systematically looting Agrigold assets.

YS Jagan assured Agrigold victims of justice and said that Rs. 1100 crores will be given to provide relief to eighty per cent of the victims. The government under YSRCP would focus on how to sell Agrigold assets and punish those who tried to grab them, he said.

YS Jagan derided Chandrababu for trying to portray himself as an honest man in politics and for saying that he had no ring or gold necklace in Vizianagaram yesterday. The YSRCP chief said that as someone said, this was indeed true, but how Chandrababu earned Rs. 4 lakh cr starting out with 2 acres of property, how he built a mansion worth crores in Hyderabad was a mystery. Chandrababu Naidu claimed that he had no money but was the owner of the Heritage group worth thousands of crores. Interestingly, the share value of Heritage rose from Rs. 150 to Rs. 900 after Chandrababu came to power and he sold these shares right on the eve of demonetisation, again quite inexplicably, YS Jagan said. Chandrababu Naidu claimed he had no money, but he was caught on tape trying to buy legislators in Telangana. Similarly, he bought over opposition MLAs in AP for Rs. 20-30 crores, he pointed out.

Chandrababu does not drink but every village has belt shops in every street, he said. The AP CM is silent as atrocities on women continue unabated in the state.

Chandrababu Naidu is fearless, but gets stay orders when cases are filed against him. The latest instance was Chandrababu's name cropping up in the AirAsia case, according to newspapers, he said.

YS Jagan said that Chandrababu has not spared any section of society. His partymen do not spare sand, and land, including temple lands are grabbed.

YS Jagan assured the large gathering that the fee reimbursement scheme would be restored to its former glory once again under Rajanna Rajyam. The poorest of the poor would have access to the best of education, he said. YS Jagan asked the people to vote as per the dictates of their conscience and not to believe false promises of politicians.
