Chittoor: Chandrababu Naidu has failed to keep his word to the people and hence the TDP election manifesto was removed from the party website, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
Addressing a massive crowd at Chinnatippa Samudram in the district as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, on Monday, he said the move clearly indicates that the TDP leader failed to fulfill the list of promises made in the manifesto during the past four years. "Such political leaders who fail to fulfill the aspirations of the common man must resign and go home," YS Jagan said.
The chief minister promised a fund of Rs 1,000 crore for the benefit of handloom weavers and also a handloom park in every district, he said and reminded the people that the said fund was not established till date. "No help was provided to the weavers nor their loans were waived. Raising interests on those loans only added to the misery of the weavers forcing them to resort to suicide," YS Jagan said.
The YSRCP President also listed out the failures of the TDP government in providing fee reimbursement to students, financial assistance to DWCRA women and old-age pensions. He called on the people to come forward with their suggestions for YSRCP's navaratnas so that they can effectively implemented for the welfare of the society.
