Nellore: YSRCP Nellore district president and Sarvepalli MLA K. Govardhana Reddy charged the TDP government of anti – farmer.
He appealed the farmers to make party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s two day Raithu Deeksha in Guntur from May1, a grand success.
Addressing a press conference in Venkatachalam, the YSRCP leader said that the government had declared 27 mandals as drought hit mandals during Khareef season and all the 47 mandals by Rabi session but of no use. Neither input subsidy is not released nor any scour provided to the farmers, he quipped.
Stating that Chandrababu Naidu deceived the farmers in every sphere he said, that the government had promised Rs. 5.000 crores stabilization fund to provide MSP to cotton farmers, but till date nothing had happened. The TDP leaders siphoned off the major junk of ‘Neeru – Chettu’ (Water and Tree), he alleged and added that it is high time the farmer’s community to teach a lesson to TDP dispensation.
Govardhana Reddy said that the Opposition leader is observing two day Rythu Deeksha from May 1 in Guntur to high light the farmers problems and asked the farmers to make it a success to mount pressure on the government to fulfill its promises.
Party mandal leaders Aruna, M.Vekataseshaiah, Sridhar Naidu, Ch. Krishnaiah, E. Rajanikanth Reddy, Akbar Bhasha, Husain and others were also present at the press conference.
