Chandrababu Cheated Farmers In The Name Of Project

Velagapudi: YSRCP MLA, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, complained that CM Chandrababu Naidu had cheated farmers and agricultural labourers of Palnadu area in the name of irrigation project.
Confronting the CM during assembly session about the project that was supposed top be built in Palnadu area, he reminded that former CM, YS Rajasekhar Reddy, had released GO 702 as he performed groundbreaking for the project in 2008 and called for tenders after designing the project to be built in 44,326 acres with Rs.197.7 crore with 1.7 TMC capacity. He also reminded that Government in 1952 had employed Kosala Committee to check if the area was favourable for a project's construction and that the committee had reported in 1955 that it was.
Pinnelli stated that Chandrababu had also visited the area and promised in a huge public meeting to build the project. He revealed that CM Chandrababu had written to the concerned minister about Palnadu project in 2015 and it was concluded that the project would not be built. He demanded that the project should be built as promised for the sake of the farmers  of the area.
