Chandrababu behaving like a real estate broker

Senior YSRCP leader Gadikota Srikanth Reddy criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu over the Amaravati bonds issue. He slammed the AP chief minister for behaving like a real estate broker and asked why the state was willing to pay more than 10% interest. Speaking to the media here today, the YSRCP leader said that Chandrababu was was taking pride in borrowing heavily which was hardly a matter of pride. He also said that it was not enough to develop the capital city region alone.

Srikanth Reddy wondered how Chandrababu did not seem to see the pervasive drought conditions in Rayalaseema and North Andhra regions and expressed his anguish at the TDP government's indifference to these regions.

The senior YSRCP leader lashed out at Chandrababu for disbursing funds only to places where he had proxies. From the time the TDP came to power, AP's borrowings have gone up and assets have conversely declined, he added. People of the state are being taxed indiscriminately, he said and also questioned Chandrababu on spending 20 crore rupees a month on his security detail. TDP leaders looted Rs. 13 crores in the Neeru-Chettu scheme, Srikanth Reddy said. He criticised Chandrababu Naidu for spending crores of rupees on his personal expenses and threw the AP chief minister an open challenge to come out with a white paper on investments to AP.
