Chalo Assembly: YSRCP leaders arrested

Amaravati: The Police on Monday arrested the main Opposition party YSR Congress Party leaders when they were proceeding to Assembly to organise a dharna in protest against the state government indifference in demanding the the Centre for Special Category to Andhra Pradesh.

YSRCP senior leaders K Parthasarathi, S Udayabanu, Vellampalli Srinivas and other leaders were arrested when converged at Darna chowk. 

On Sunday, YSR Congress Party has announced its support to Chalo Assembly organised on Monday by all parties on the long pending demand to accord special status to Andhra Pradesh.  YSR Congress senior leaders V Srinivas and Malladi Vishnu participated in the all party meeting and announced the party will join Chalo Assembly agitation.   The leaders alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu deceived Andhra people by neglecting the AP People's demand. 

They said special status is the right of Andhra people.  YSR Congress has been fighting to the cause of people.  Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also conducted Yuva Bheri programmes and united the youth force for special status.
