Candlelight Vigil For SCS, Inspired By Jallikattu Movement

The president of YSRCP in Visakhapatnam district, Gudiwada Amarnath, announced that a candlelight vigil would be held in the city on the 26th of January in support of sanction of special category status.

Inspired by the unity exhibited in Tamilnadu in the matter of Jallikattu sport, he called for holding this vigil on behalf of YSRCP. The programme shall be conducted at the beach road of Visakhapatnam on Republic Day.

Referring how people of Tamilnadu fought against the Supreme Court in support of conduction of traditional event, Jallikattu, achieving issue of 3-4 ordinances by the central and the state Governments, he called for the people of AP to adopt the same kind of spirit in achieving special category status for the state. Slamming BJP and TDP Government for ignoring the benefit of AP state, he criticised CM Chandrababu for mortgaging the state's future for his selfishness.
