Babu backstabbed 5 crore people of AP: YS Jagan

Guntur: Coming down heavily on the State and Central governments, Leader of the Opposition and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday alleged that the governments had backstabbed 5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh after promising Special Category Status. YS Jagan encouraged the youth and students to strive for attaining special status. YS Jagan was speaking during a youth convention - 'Yuvabheri' prgramme being held at Nallapadu in Guntur district on Thursday. During the interaction with the students, YS Jagan tried to enlighten the youngsters on the benefits of special status.

Terming the remarks of AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao against women as unfortunate, the YSRCP chief regretted the way MLA Roja was obstructed at the airport and denied entry to World Women Parliament summit in Vijayawada. The YSRCP chief also found fault with AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's remarks that national media was mortgaged to a political party.

It is unfortunate that the Chief Minister himself is backing the remarks of Speaker Kodela, YS Jagan said. "Chandrababu Naidu had been protecting the accused who involved in student Rishiteshwari suicide case," YS Jagan alleged.
