Atrocities Against SCs On The Rise In TDP Regime

Chittoor: Atrocities against SC, ST communities is constantly on the rise in the TDP regime, Leader of the Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
Addressing the SC and ST communities during a public meeting on the 68th day of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, here on Monday, he said ministers and officers are beating up women folk of the backward communities mercilessly. "For instance a woman officer from the SC community was attacked by a TDP minister, while another Adinarayana Reddy is on record for stating that it is useless to try and educate people from the backward communities," YS Jagan said and strongly condemning the TDP attitude towards people from the SC and ST communities. The YSRCP leader pointed out that the Pendurthi incident where a woman was attacked by TDP leaders was another low point of the present state government.
"In order to uplift the backward community by providing them educational and employment opportunities, the YSRCP introduced the Navaratnas. The YSRCP government will provide 200 units of free electricity and provide drill borewells free of cost to the people of SC, ST colonies besides distributing 13 lakh acres of land to the weaker sections of the society," he said.
