Around 30,000 YSRCP followers expected to attend plenary

Hyderabad: About 30,000 party workers are expected to attend the national plenary of YSR Congress Party which will be held on July 8 and 9, the party MLC Umareddy Venkateshwarulu said.
Addressing the media here on Friday, he said the two-day event will be held in the 12-acre open land opposite Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur. "About 30,000 party workers are expected to attend the plenary which will be held in three stages," he said. The event will be supervised and managed by 18 committees which will handle aspects such as agenda for the plenary, election of party president, event logistics, food and cultural activities, Venkateshwarulu added.
The notification for the election of party president will be issued on July 8, while the election will be held on July 9. Issues raised in the district and constituency-wise plenaries will be collated, the MLC said and added that those issues pertain to farm loans, SC/ST welfare, TDP election promises, sand mafia and land pooling for capital city.
