AP Govt wasting public money for personal needs

Hyderabad: YSR Congress party (YSRCP) official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu today criticized the Andhra Pradesh government over the Amaravati bonds issue. Speaking at a press conference at the party's Central Office here, the leader said that the State government was wasting public money for personal needs. Adding that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu had spent lakhs of rupees of the tax-payers' money for his dental treatment, Ambati observed that the State government was spending crores in the name of modernization works.

Ambati said that Chandrababu left no scope for protecting democratic values in the State. "How could Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao carry out the ritual of washing TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu's portrait in milk? How could a person who was in a Constitutional post indulge in such impropriety which is clearly party activity? It is unfortunate that the Speaker himself was harming the democratic fabric of the country, " he felt.

Demanding that Speaker Siva Prasad resign immediately, Ambati said that Siva Prasad could do such an act after his resignation.
